As the NBA All-Star break approached, a cloud of uncertainty hung over the participation of Los Angeles Lakers' star guard, Luka Dončić, in the highly anticipated All-Star Game. While things were steadily improving, his presence on the court for the annual spectacle at Intuit Dome was anything but guaranteed.
But here's where it gets interesting... On Saturday, during the bustling All-Star Media Day, Dončić addressed the media, and the burning question was about his availability for Sunday's game. The perennial All-Star, who remarkably secured the most votes this year, shared some positive news. He indicated he was feeling much better and would likely play a "little bit", marking his official return from a hamstring injury that had sidelined him for four consecutive games leading up to the break.
"I feel pretty good," Dončić shared, a sense of relief palpable in his voice. "I've been working to get back. Obviously, I wanted to play the last game, but it wasn't possible. I was almost there, so I think I'll play a little bit."
And this is the part most people miss... When playfully pressed about his intentions on the court, a viral possibility was quickly shut down. "No, I will not try to dunk on LeBron," he confirmed with a smile, putting an end to any speculative dreams of a historic slam.
Dončić Reveals Whether He Can Score 100 Points in a Game
Beyond the All-Star festivities, Dončić was posed a fascinating hypothetical by former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins: could he ever achieve a 100-point game? This question stemmed from his incredible 73-point performance just two years prior with the Dallas Mavericks, a feat that left him just 27 points shy of the magical century mark.
"I don't know. I don't think so," Dončić mused when asked about scoring 100 points. "I scored 73, and it was a lot. It felt like every shot went in, and 100 is just -- it's just too much." This candid response highlights the sheer difficulty and rarity of such an accomplishment, even for a player of his caliber.
A Laker All-Star: A Dream Realized
Not only will Dončić grace the court after his four-game absence, but he'll also be participating in his first All-Star Game as a representative of the Los Angeles Lakers. When asked about the significance of this milestone, he expressed profound gratitude.
"Every All-Star, just blessed," he stated. "I'm going to look back at it. I'm a six-time All-Star now, and not everybody can say they're an All-Star. So, just take everything in the moment and enjoy this."

"I would just say the game," Dončić confirmed. "Playing with the best, the best guys in the world. Just being there, like I said, taking the moment in and just enjoy it."
