Struggling to close deals? A new AI-powered sales tech startup just secured a significant investment to help you become a sales superstar. Let's dive in!
Jeeva AI, a sales tech platform, has successfully raised $9 million in funding. This impressive sum comes from notable investors, including Marc Benioff, Jack Altman, and Sapphire Ventures.
This innovative platform, created by Gaurav Bhattacharya, aims to revolutionize sales outreach. Bhattacharya, inspired by his own past struggles, recognized the need for a tool to enhance sales performance. Jeeva AI was born from this need, pivoting from a customer intelligence platform to focus on becoming a comprehensive sales companion.
But what exactly does Jeeva AI do?
It's designed to be like a personal sales coach, assisting users in finding leads and crafting effective outreach across various channels. The platform launched this year and offers both free and paid options, with the paid version allowing users to purchase credits in increments of $20, $50, and $100. They've already amassed around 300 paying customers, including major players like JLL and Whisper Energy.
One of their unique customer acquisition strategies involved sending prospective customers 2 cents via PayPal with a brief introduction and an invitation to share their feedback. This approach, while unconventional, led to a mix of reactions.
"We got the same amount of negative and positive reactions," Bhattacharya said. "We sent it to about 250 people, and about 50 of them booked meetings with us, 20 of them became customers. About 50 of them were like, 'This is the worst strategy, I would never do this again.'"
The company, currently with a team of 20 employees, plans to allocate the $9 million in funding strategically. Half of the investment will be channeled into sales and marketing efforts, while the other half will be dedicated to enhancing its AI models.
And this is the part most people miss... The success of Jeeva AI could hinge on how well they balance their innovative approach with traditional sales techniques.
