Emobi's upgraded hardware supports its JustPlug system, enabling automatic authentication across new and old chargers. This addresses the common issue of spotty connectivity, which often results in failed charging sessions, higher costs, and disgruntled drivers.
HeyCharge's local communication setup ensures chargers work without relying heavily on cellular networks, reducing installation time and the need for expensive network upgrades. Once retrofitted, these chargers become accessible on major EV platforms and support app-free charging, eliminating the need for cards or additional hardware.
Emobi's solution also provides operators with features typically missing in offline chargers, such as session tracking, energy-based billing, and real-time availability. However, the real test will be how well these features perform in the field.
